Ancient Phoenician trade routes: Africa, America, and Venus (Satire)

The ancient Phoenicians from Tyre and Sidon (modern day lebanon) not only invented the world’s first alphabet, but they traveled all of the Mediterranean establishing themselves of an essential part of the world economy at the time. They had centers at both ends of the sea including spain, italy, Greece, and North Africa. In fact, one of their colonies near Carthage, almost defeated the Roman empire. Their merchants probably circumnavigated Africa, and there are some who believe they discovered the Americas. Now we have reason to believe that they also went to space by sailing the ether streams.

At about 1,000 BC many of the human space colonies were small and primitive. Not too many great empires were really flourishing on the planets at this time: the Romans and Persians would come later. It was up to the phoenicians to bring order and foster trade. They did so by exporting and importing goods to and from Earth. They brought much needed grain to the moons of jupiter in return for mushrooms, bat skins, and precious ore. They imported Mastodons to Earth from their native planet on Mars. They also brought rare spices from Venus.

Eventually, however, most of the Phoenician colonies were squeezed out of space just like they had been on Earth. As large empires formed, the Phoenicians were chased out. They finally settled on Tritan, the largest moon of Neptune. This became their base of operations until the ether stream holocaust of 1453 AD.
